for over two decades, I’ve led brand identity, visual campaigns, and creative teams - bringing the precision and visual judgement that comes from years of making images myself. i was trained as a photographer at santa monica college, and that foundation shapes how I art direct, how i lead productions, how i know when something is right. my practice evolved from shooting to directing, from making images to building the systems and teams that make them.
My career spans luxury brand leadership at chrome hearts and linea pelle, where i directed brand identity, visual merchandising, and creative collaborations with partners like hermès, rolex and the rolling stones. ten years ago, i founded my own creative studio, where i’ve led productions, built creative teams, and developed art direction for premium consumer brands.
WHAT PHOTOGRAPHY TAUGHT ME: CREATIVE LEADERSHIP ISN’T ABOUT DOING EVERYTHING YOURSELF. IT’S ABOUT KNOWING WHAT GOOD LOOKS LIKE, BEING ABLE TO ARTICULATE THAT VISION CLEARLY, AND BUILDING THE FRAMEWORKS THAT ENABLE TALENTED PEOPLE TO DO THEIR BEST WORK. I CAN CREATIVELY DIRECT A SHOOT WITH SPECIFICITY BECAUSE I UNDERSTAND WHAT IS TECHNICALLY POSSIBLE AND WHAT WILL MAKE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COMPETENT AND EXCEPTIONAL.
I STUDIED CURATION AT SOTHEBY’S INSTITUTE OF ART, WHICH TAUGHT ME HOW TO CURATE, SEQUENCE, AND CONTEXTUALIZE VISUAL WORK WITH INTENTION. THIS CURATORIAL LENS, COMBINED WITH MY PHOTOGRAPHY TRAINING AND DECADE OF BRAND LEADERSHIP, MEANS I APPROACH CREATIVE DIRECTION AS BOTH CRAFT AND STRATEGY.
I’m drawn to organizations and roles that take aesthetics seriously, that value precision over speed, that understand the space between the objects matters as much as the objects themselves.
